Mr. Electric is Hiring

Career

Mr. Electric is a place where the work is hands-on, expectations are clear, and the team actually has your back. We’re looking for people who want to build something. Great electrical work starts with great electricians, so we invest heavily in training and give you room to grow. If that sounds like a good fit, keep reading to see what it’s like to work with a team that supports your goals.

What We Do

We do electrical work, but that doesn’t mean we’re just pulling wires and flipping breakers. What we really do is keep homes safe, help small businesses grow, and make life better for the people who count on us. The outlet a family uses to plug in their space heater needs to be wired correctly. A panel upgrade for a local bakery that’s expanding has to work without fail. An EV charger installation for a customer who’s switching to clean energy should feel easy to use and not confusing. Our electricians show up, figure it out, do it right, and leave things better than we found them.

Who Thrives Here

You don’t need to have 20 years under your belt or be the fastest conduit bender in the state. You do need to care. We can teach tools, codes, and procedures. What we can’t teach is pride in your work, respect for people’s homes and businesses, and a willingness to keep learning. Here are some traits we’ve seen in the people who do really well here:

  • You show up on time even if no one’s watching.
  • You listen before you answer.
  • You know how to work steadily without cutting corners.
  • You’re not afraid to ask a question if you don’t know something.
  • You can explain what you’re doing to a customer without sounding like a robot.
  • You like knowing your work matters.

Whether you’re brand new to the trade or you’ve been licensed for years, we’re interested in your mindset, not just your resume.

A Different Kind of Work Environment

No one wants to dread going to work. We want your workday to feel focused, steady, and fair. We’ve got busy days, tight deadlines, and jobs that don’t always go as planned. That’s part of the trade. But we’ve worked hard to build a culture where:

  • You’re not micromanaged, but you’re not left hanging, either.
  • Your time is respected. We do our best to keep overtime voluntary and make sure your day ends when it’s supposed to.
  • Coworkers help each other instead of competing.
  • You’re trusted to do your job and supported if something goes sideways.
  • Your ideas for improving things are welcome and often implemented.

What You'll Learn

Working at Mr. Electric requires ongoing development of your trade skills and your people skills, like:

  • Code compliance and safety practices
  • Panel upgrades, rewiring, and surge protection
  • Smart home systems and EV charger installs
  • Troubleshooting with real logic, not guesswork
  • Energy-efficient solutions and lighting design
  • How to read a room and talk with customers like a human
  • How to present options without pressure
  • How to handle job stress without letting it follow you home
  • How to take feedback without taking it personally
  • How to be the kind of teammate others can count on
